A unit of the Aboitiz InfraCapital, Inc. secured international recognition after winning the Most Innovative Infrastructure Investment Company in the Philippines title at the International Finance Awards 2025, marking its second consecutive win.

The company, the infrastructure investment arm of the Aboitiz Group, also won the same distinction in 2024, reinforcing its position as a key private sector player in infrastructure development.

President and chief executive officer Cosette V. Canilao said the repeat recognition underscores the firm’s commitment to embedding innovation across its operations, adding that the company continues to invest in infrastructure ecosystems designed to be sustainable, future-ready, and responsive to the country’s evolving needs.

International Finance, a UK-based business and finance publication, confers the award to institutions that demonstrate strong performance, leadership, and contributions to corporate governance, social responsibility, and the broader financial community.

The recognition comes as the company marks its 10th year, highlighting its focus on long-term value creation across its core sectors of water, airports, and digital infrastructure.

The firm combines investments, operational capabilities, and partnerships with public and private stakeholders to deliver infrastructure solutions that support inclusive growth and national development.

In aviation, the company expanded its footprint in 2025 by advancing operations at Bohol-Panglao International Airport and Laguindingan International Airport, complementing its stake in Mactan-Cebu International Airport, which continues to serve as a major gateway in the Visayas.

The Cebu hub also earned global attention for sustainability initiatives such as its Eco-Watt program and for winning Airport of the Year in Asia at a regional travel awards event.

In the water sector, subsidiary Apo Agua Infrastructura, Inc. continues to operate the Davao City Bulk Water Supply Project, the country’s largest bulk water facility, in partnership with Davao City Water District.

The partnership carries out watershed protection efforts and community programs that promote sustainable water management.

Meanwhile, telecom tower platform Unity Digital — a joint venture with Partners Group — expanded its network to nearly 3,000 service points nationwide, extending connectivity to more communities.

The company said its growing portfolio reflects a deliberate push to build scalable infrastructure platforms that generate economic and social impact over the long term as it continues to pursue projects that support the country’s development agenda. (with PR)
