What started as a passion project in 2022, led by Nickie San Juan and Ariel Alegado, Don Macchiatos has reshaped the coffee industry in an unprecedented capacity. Now it stands as a franchising titan in the country, with over 1,000 branches nationwide and counting.
With celebrity endorser Daniel Padilla, Don Macchiatos continues to be every Filipino’s favorite affordable P39 coffee. Beyond coffee, Don Macchiatos has shifted into various ventures, marking its inception as a multi-sector enterprise. With this, Don Macchiatos Group of Companies was born.
Don Macchiatos Group of Companies (DMGC) consists of Don Macchiatos, Kuku Frozen Yogurt, Cavella Philippines, Mr. Pure Ice, Don Lemon, and the upcoming Padayon Croissants and Coffee, an upscale coffee shop set to launch in September at Ayala Malls Central Bloc.
To add to its roster of businesses, DMGC also dabbles in sectors outside food and beverage. Among its other ventures are Megahit Global Solutions (MGS), a leading provider of smart locks for homes and businesses; MARSTEK Technologies, a European energy storage solutions brand, SOROTEC Philippines, a power solutions brand, and other ventures yet to be announced.
At its core, DMGC continues to champion the Cebuano spirit, striving to inspire and support those in need. In 2025, Cebu Province was tested by back-to-back calamities that left devastation in their wake. DMGC lent a helping hand to victims of the destructive earthquake in Bogo in October, as well as those affected by Typhoon Tino in November.
Earlier this year, with the excessive oil price hikes brought about by the war between Iran and the U.S., motorists suffered from constant skyrocketing petroleum prices. In an effort to alleviate that burden, DMGC hosted a special fuel giveaway at a gas station in SRP on March 19. The giveaway provided a full tank refill to motorcycle riders, gathering over 150 of them.
With the prosperous growth of Don Macchiatos Group of Companies, its community service drive grows along with it. Beyond business, DMGC recognizes its role in creating meaningful change, extending support to those in need and contributing to the communities that have shaped it for the success that it is today.
