For 12 years, Bayfront Hotel Cebu has welcomed travelers, families, business guests and residents, becoming part of countless visits, celebrations and everyday moments in Cebu.
The story began with Bayfront Hotel Cebu - North Reclamation on September 7, 2014, followed by Bayfront Hotel Cebu - Capitol Site on September 7, 2021, and Bayfront CoLive+ on October 3, 2025.
Three properties and different concepts, but one continuing story — growing with Cebu and with the people who choose Bayfront.
Built Through the Years
Bayfront was founded by Charlton C. Cokaliong, a certified public accountant who spent 23 years in textile retail before venturing into hospitality. With the support of his mother, Gregoria Cokaliong, he took the first step into an entirely new industry.
Twelve years later, that decision has grown into a broader hospitality portfolio.
The Bayfront family
Behind every guest experience is a team of people who have helped shape Bayfront.
Many employees have spent important chapters of their careers with the company. Some remain part of Bayfront today, while others have moved on to pursue new opportunities.
“We are grateful to everyone who has been part of Bayfront, past and present,” Cokaliong said. “Those who are still with us continue to help us move forward, while those who have moved on have also left their mark on the company. We will always appreciate the years and effort they shared with us.”
The company is equally grateful to its loyal patrons — guests who have returned for business trips, family occasions, holidays or simply because Bayfront has become a familiar place in Cebu.
“Every guest who has stayed with us, returned to us or recommended us to someone else has contributed to our story,” Cokaliong said. “We are sincerely grateful for their trust and loyalty.”
Looking forward
Even as the tourism and hospitality landscape changes, Bayfront has maintained its occupancy levels while continuing to adapt to its guests’ needs.
With Bayfront CoLive+ now part of its portfolio and another hotel project being conceptualized, the company continues to look ahead.
For Bayfront, growth is measured not only by properties, but by the relationships built along the way— the employees who helped create the experience, the guests who kept coming back and the memories made within its walls.
Twelve years, three properties and countless stories — and the next chapter is just beginning.
