A Little History
Master Mariner Elmer Montebon, a Borbon Cebu resident, owns Master’s Dragon Peak. Montebon began his career as a seaman before rising to captaincy in 2014. Aside from owning a massive dragon fruit plantation, he had the idea last December 2020 to construct a ship as an inspiration to his family since sailing is his principal source of income.
Together with his cousin Henry Montebon, a barangay captain with design and landscaping skills, they created the plan to construct a ship permanently anchored on top of the mountains of Sitio Manga, Barangay Bili, Municipality of Borbon, 77 kilometers from Cebu City.
