How to Get There
Travelers can reach Kan-Irag Peak in approximately 30 to 45 minutes from Cebu City.
By private vehicle: Drive along the Transcentral Highway toward Barangay Sirao and follow the road leading to Sitio Langob. Parking spaces are available near the jump-off point.
By public transportation: Ride a jeepney or bus bound for Busay or Sirao, then hire a habal-habal (motorcycle taxi) to take you directly to the trailhead.

In 2020, just days before the COVID-19 lockdown was declared in the Philippines, Proud Bisaya Bai founder Ariel Alegado went on a camping trip to Kan-Irag Peak with friends. After returning home, he uploaded photos of the adventure on his personal Facebook account.
To his surprise, the photos quickly went viral, reaching thousands of people who were captivated by the mountain’s stunning scenery. The overwhelming response revealed a growing interest in discovering Cebu’s hidden destinations and inspired something much bigger than he had imagined.
Seeing the positive reception, several of Ariel’s friends encouraged him to create a dedicated Facebook page that would showcase Cebu’s tourist attractions, local culture, hidden gems, and inspiring community stories.
That simple suggestion marked the birth of Proud Bisaya Bai.
What started with a single camping trip and one viral travel post has since grown into one of Cebu’s leading digital media platforms, reaching millions of people and continuing its mission of promoting tourism, supporting local communities, and sharing stories that celebrate the beauty of Cebu, the Visayas, and the Philippines.
