As Guimaras celebrates its annual Manggahan Festival, mango lovers in Cebu can now skip the long trip and have the island’s famous sweet mangoes delivered straight to their homes.
The Philippine Postal Corporation has launched a special delivery service bringing premium Guimaras mangoes to customers in Metro Cebu and Metro Manila as part of efforts to support local farmers and promote Filipino products nationwide.
Through the online platform mangoesmetro.com, Cebuanos can order a 5-kilogram box of Guimaras mangoes for P1,500 and expect delivery within three to seven business days.
The initiative is a collaboration between the Department of Trade and Industry, PHLPost, and the Guimaras Mango Growers and Producers Development Cooperative.
Running from May 15 to 24, the Manggahan Festival highlights Guimaras’ globally recognized mango industry, known for producing some of the sweetest mangoes in the world. For Cebu residents, the new service offers a more convenient way to enjoy the seasonal favorite while helping support mango growers in the province.
