LTO 7 says viral complaint video was not filmed in any agency office

A viral video showing a woman complaining about alleged discourteous treatment during a transaction does not involve the Land Transportation Office in Central Visayas (LTO 7), the agency said.

LTO 7 clarified that the incident shown in the video did not take place inside any of its offices in the region and that no LTO personnel were involved in the transaction.

The clarification came after the video circulated on social media, where the woman was heard identifying the establishment as LTO and criticizing the alleged treatment she received from a cashier.

“No LTO personnel were also involved in the transaction as allegedly depicted in the video,” LTO 7 said in a statement.

In the video, the woman complained about the manner in which she was allegedly spoken to and accused those involved of being part of a system that makes it difficult for the public to access government services.

LTO 7, however, said the video itself does not establish that the incident occurred inside an LTO office or that the people involved were agency employees.

LTO 7 Regional Director Atty. Wendel Dinglasan reaffirmed the agency’s commitment to providing courteous, professional, transparent and efficient public service.

The regional office also recognized the public’s right to raise concerns about government services and bring alleged incidents to public attention.

At the same time, LTO 7 urged the public to verify information before associating incidents circulating online with the agency.

The office encouraged clients with concerns about LTO transactions or services to report them through proper channels so complaints can be verified and appropriate action can be taken based on established facts.
