Cebu Port passenger traffic jumps 67% in first 3 days of Undas

Passenger traffic at the Port of Cebu increased by 67% during the first three days of the Undas 2026 travel period compared with the same dates last year, with nearly 149,000 passenger movements recorded from Oct. 30 to Nov. 1.

The Cebu Port Authority (CPA), in data released Monday, Nov. 2, recorded 148,859 inbound and outbound passenger movements, up from 89,269 during the same period in 2025.

Outbound passengers accounted for the larger share, reaching 92,481, a 71% increase from 54,159 a year earlier.

Inbound traffic also rose by 61%, with 56,378 passengers arriving at the port, compared with 35,110 in 2025.

The biggest year-on-year increase occurred on Nov. 1, when total passenger movements reached 29,993, more than double the 13,486 recorded on the same date last year.

Outbound traffic that day surged by 142%, from 7,093 to 17,151, while inbound movements increased by 101%, from 6,393 to 12,842.

Passenger traffic was also significantly higher during the two days leading up to All Saints’ Day.

On Oct. 30, the port recorded 60,755 passenger movements, up 70% from 35,810 in 2025. Outbound passengers increased by 77%, from 21,661 to 38,277, while inbound traffic rose by 59%, from 14,149 to 22,478.

The following day, passenger movements reached 58,111, a 45% increase from 39,973 recorded on Oct. 31, 2025.

Outbound traffic on Oct. 31 totaled 37,053, up 46% from 25,405, while inbound movements climbed by 45%, from 14,568 to 21,058.

Overall, outbound passengers accounted for about 62% of the combined movements recorded during the three-day period, indicating that more passengers departed from the Port of Cebu than arrived.

The figures cover the opening three days of the CPA’s Oplan Biyaheng Ayos: Undas 2026 monitoring period and do not yet represent the final passenger count.

The authority’s comparative report also listed Nov. 2 and 3 as additional monitoring dates, with the final tally depending on passenger movements recorded during the remaining period.
