The Mobile Library and Bible on Wheels initiative seeks to visit all 21 barangays of the Carmen Municipality to teach and assist children in their individual modular courses, as well as proclaim the word of God. Parents and guardians were also educated on RA 9262 (Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children Act), RA 7610 (Anti-Child Abuse Law), and the Revised Rule on Children in Conflict with the Law.

The same Police Officers, also took initiative to actualize and implement their project that showcases livelihood programs that are quite unique to the entirety of the Philippine National Police institution; such as the establishment of “Tindahan Mo, Ablihan Ni Tsip”, which aims to provide a General Merchandise Sari-sari Store, to help their constituents provide and afford their basic necessities by providing them long-term sustainable livelihood programs. The Carmen Police Station also graced their “Kapehan sa Pulis ug Katawhan” with the presence of Police Brigadier General Roque Eduardo Vega, director of the Police Regional Office in Central Visayas.

May the Carmen Police Department’s actions bless the hearts and souls of our armed forces, particularly the police force, in the hope that they will be able to reintroduce themselves as the ‘approachable’ and ‘caring’ police forces in their respective communities, rather than the ‘frightening’ and ‘abusive’ ones. Be a live testament and example that good cops still exist in the Philippines.
