“Becoming Ice: The 35th Anniversary Concert” will perform again, this time for music lovers in the south, after a successful performance in The Theatre at Solaire Resort in October to a sold-out crowd. On February 18, the concert is scheduled to take place at the Pacific Grand Ballroom of the Waterfront Cebu Hotel and Casino in Cebu City.

Fire and Ice Media and Productions announced the versatile performer’s milestone concert repeat shortly after consecutive wins and nominations at the recent Aliw Awards. It won “Best Stage Direction for a Concert” by Ice Seguerra and “Best Musical Direction” by Ivan Lee Espinosa, which is co-led by actor and film supporter Liza Dino-Seguerra.

It promises to envelop viewers in music and nostalgia while also providing an up-close look into Seguerra’s life, including his formative years as a child actor who performed in over 60 films and television programs, his transition to music, coming to terms with his identity, and finding love.

“I am so excited to bring Becoming Ice to Cebu. Sa totoo lang, I love performing for the Cebuanos. Yes, medyo nakakakaba kasi in my many years of performing there, makikita mo na they really know what they want out of a performance. Kapag na appreciate nila yung music and performance, sobrang all out din sila para ipakita yung enjoyment nila. This is something na feeling ko, ma eenjoy nila,” Seguerra shares, who is well-known as an OPM singer for the songs “Anong Nangyari sa Ating Dalawa” and “Pagdating ng Panahon.”

His 35-year career in music, film and new media production has established his reputation as a pop cultural figure that cuts across generational lines.
