In a significant move toward improving access to healthcare, free dialysis services will soon be made available to residents of Cebu City, with treatment stations to be established in Barangays Talamban and Guadalupe.
A Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) was officially signed today between the barangay officials and JL Dialmed Trading Co., represented by its head, Jefferlyx O. Natividad, in a ceremony held at the Office of Mayor Nestor Archival.
This public-private initiative aims to offer lifesaving dialysis treatment at no cost to qualified patients, particularly those in underserved communities. With the rising number of individuals suffering from kidney-related illnesses, the project marks a critical step in making essential healthcare more accessible to all Cebuanos.
Mayor Archival expressed his full support for the program, emphasizing the city’s ongoing commitment to providing better health services and improving the quality of life for its residents.
“This is more than just a medical service—it’s a lifeline for many families,” the mayor stated. “We are proud to support this initiative that puts people’s well-being at the center.”
The dialysis centers are expected to be operational in the coming months, with more details regarding eligibility and scheduling to be announced by local barangay health units.
For updates, residents are encouraged to follow official channels or visit their respective barangay halls.
