A Celebration of Cebuano Ingenuity
For two decades, Proweaver, Inc. has built a reputation as a digital marketing and web development leader, serving small businesses across the United States while proudly calling Cebu home. This year, the company brought that same spirit of innovation to the local stage with the launch of PromptQuest: Online Hackathon. Held virtually on September 9, 2025, the competition challenged graduating students from Metro Cebu to collaborate, experiment, and reimagine classic online games with fresh creativity. With 23 teams from four universities (SWU, CIT-U, USPF, and CEC) joining the fray, the hackathon became more than just a contest. It was a celebration of Cebu’s youth-driven tech culture.

And when the final scores were tallied, it was Cebu Institute of Technology - University (CIT-U) that proudly swept the top three spots.

The Young Innovators Behind the Triumph
The winners’ circle was not defined only by team names but by the determined individuals behind them:
- Kadasig Trio – Mikhail James Navarro, Danrave Cabahug Keh, and Vincent Pacaña
- Team XYANA – Yana Paragoso, Jake Clarin, and Karylle Gomez Delos Reyes
- Cursor Windsurf – Hanz Bacus, Piolo Frances Enriquez, and Jerjen Res
These students didn’t just walk away with prizes. They also gained a unique industry connection when they visited Proweaver’s AI Engineering Hub to personally meet Founder and CEO Atty. Joseph Ladion. Their visit was marked with photos, handshakes, and conversations that symbolized the bridge between Cebu’s aspiring tech creators and one of the city’s most enduring digital firms.
Proweaver’s Bigger Vision
PromptQuest wasn’t just about vibe coding. It was about showing that Cebu has the talent, imagination, and drive to thrive in the digital economy. As Proweaver explained, the initiative was designed to empower local talent, nurture innovation, and help students transform concepts into projects they can proudly share with the world.
This effort ties seamlessly to Proweaver’s long-term mission: to be the world’s number one provider of website design and digital marketing services catering to small businesses. Through projects like PromptQuest, the company isn’t just building websites for clients abroad. It’s also building Cebu’s future innovators right here at home.
For Cebuanos, the message is clear: this is just the beginning. More opportunities to showcase creativity and digital skills are on the horizon. And if PromptQuest is any indication, Cebu’s youth are more than ready to rise to the challenge.
