NEWS UPDATE: Big news for island towns! The Cebu Provincial Government has officially launched its first Sea Ambulance, giving faster and safer access to emergency care for Cebuanos living in far-flung coastal and island communities.
The project was made possible through the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO) and is part of Governor Pamela Baricuatro’s push for accessible, people-centered health services across the province.
Aside from the sea ambulance, the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) also turned over two fishing boats to the province, which were later distributed to Danao City and Medellin to help strengthen coastal livelihoods.
