A story of profound sacrifice and a desperate fight for survival came to light from the devastation of Typhoon Tino, involving a young girl who lived through the floodwaters by clinging to a dead pig.
According to a detailed account, the girl was swept away by the powerful currents. Her brother, a capable swimmer, immediately rushed to her aid. Tragically, the force of the flood overwhelmed him and he lost his life in his attempt to save his sister.
Alone in the water and unable to swim, the girl faced a dire struggle. In what is being described as a desperate twist of fate, she spotted the floating carcass of a pig. She managed to grab hold of it, using the animal’s body as a makeshift flotation device to keep her head above water until she found safety.
The harrowing incident reveals the extreme and tragic choices survivors faced during the storm’s onslaught.
