The Bisaya community has once again proven its strength in the face of calamities.

First came the earthquakes that shook the ground beneath us, followed by Typhoon Tino, which left homes destroyed and lives disrupted. Yet, through it all, the spirit of bayanihan remains unshaken.

While many praise the Bisaya  community for being resilient, few emphasize that our resilience comes from our unity and willingness to support one another.

This is seen in the small acts of kindness that make all the difference: neighbors sharing limited food and water even when they themselves also need it, lending generators to charge devices, joining hands to clear debris, comforting friends and families in times of uncertainty, and even reaching out from afar to check on loved ones when direct contact is impossible.

These acts remind us that the Bisaya spirit of helping each other will never fade, no matter the disaster.

Our strength lies not in facing challenges alone, but in standing together, lifting each other up, and caring for our community.

As new trials come our way, the lesson is clear: bayanihan is our true source of strength.
