The Philippine Animal Welfare Society (PAWS) and the family of broadcaster Kim Atienza are remembering the gentle and compassionate spirit of his daughter, Emman Atienza, whose profound love for animals continues to inspire.

From a young age, Emman found pure joy in volunteering at the PAWS shelter alongside her sister, Eliana. She would spend hours caring for rescued animals, offering them comfort and patience. Her advocacy was heartfelt and personal with a simple yet powerful motto she once scribbled in her diary: “Don’t shop….. ADOPT!!”

Emman’s passion for animal welfare was nurtured by her parents, both devoted animal advocates. She was so eager to share this compassion that she even organized school trips to the shelter so her friends could experience the same connection. Among the many animals she loved, a rescued Aspin named Jumbo held a special place in her heart.

Described as a true beacon of compassion, Emman lived and embodied kindness gracefully. Her legacy continues to ripple outward, touching hearts and inspiring others to speak up for the voiceless and embrace a life of empathy and goodness.
