GUISO, MANDAUE CITY — In a heart-stopping act of bravery, a local woman prioritized the safety of her pets during a fire that broke out in a building in Brgy. Guizo, Mandaue City, on the morning of December 10, 2025.
Around 7:00 a.m., flames and thick smoke rapidly engulfed the building, leaving little time for escape. Amid the chaos, a woman— devoted to her furbabies carefully threw each pet to safety, where bystanders caught them below. Only after ensuring all her pets were out of danger did she make her own escape.
Firefighters and nearby residents assisted the woman as she exited the burning building. Thanks to their quick response, both she and her furry companions emerged from the ordeal unharmed.
