As Tropical Storm Basyang continues to move closer toward the Philippine Area of Responsibility, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) has reported that multiple areas in the Visayas and Mindanao are now under heightened weather advisories, with Tropical Cyclone Wind Signals already in effect as the system approaches.
Signal No. 1 has been issued over several provinces in the Visayas and Mindanao due to expected rain and wind conditions, indicating that Basyang may bring periods of moderate to heavy rainfall and gusty winds across the region.
Basyang is forecast to continue westward toward eastern Mindanao before traversing additional parts of the country in the coming days, increasing the likelihood of disruptive weather across travel and daily activities.
With this severe weather threat, pet owners and families are advised to keep all household members and pets indoors, prepare sufficient food, water, and medicines, and stay updated with official PAGASA advisories and local emergency announcements. Keeping safe and dry remains paramount as the storm’s effects reach affected communities.
Stay safe, plan ahead, and keep those paws dry!
