A total of 418 teachers and school heads in Talisay City were formally recognized and promoted under the Expanded Career Progression (ECP) program during a ceremonial event held at Talisay City National High School. The program aims to strengthen professional development and support the continuous improvement of education across the country.
The ceremony was officiated by Education Secretary Sonny Angara, who led the formal oath-taking of the promoted educators. The event highlighted the government’s commitment to valuing teachers as essential contributors to the nation’s educational progress.
In his address, Sec. Angara reiterated President Bongbong Marcos’s appreciation for the dedication of teachers and emphasized the administration’s continued support for initiatives that enhance the quality of education in the Philippines.
The ECP program not only recognizes the hard work and accomplishments of teachers and school leaders but also provides a clear pathway for career advancement and professional growth. By acknowledging and promoting these educators, the Department of Education aims to motivate and empower them to further contribute to the development of students and the education system as a whole.
