A routine ride turned deadly along Gorordo Avenue corner J. Solon Drive in Cebu City on March 23, 2026, when a motorcycle driver allegedly counter-flowed and oversped, resulting in a fatal hit-and-run.
The Land Transportation Office Central Visayas (LTO 7) has issued a Show Cause Order against the driver, requiring him to appear before the LTO 7 Operations Division and submit a verified explanation addressing the allegations.
The directive comes from Regional Director Atty. Wendel C. Dinglasan as part of the agency’s mandate to enforce road safety and ensure accountability.
A hearing has been scheduled on April 16, 2026, where the respondent may present evidence in his defense.
