CEBU — A tricycle driver sustained injuries after a road crash involving a truck along Toledo Wharf Road in Barangay Lagtang on Monday morning, March 30.
According to initial investigation, the incident occurred shortly after 8:00 a.m. The tricycle was reportedly heading toward Tabunok, while the truck was traveling in the opposite direction toward Campo 4.
Authorities said the tricycle driver attempted to overtake another vehicle ahead, causing him to veer into the opposite lane and collide with the oncoming truck. During the impact, the victim’s head struck near the side of the truck’s wheel as the vehicle came to a stop.
A passenger of the tricycle also sustained injuries in the incident.
Responding authorities immediately attended to the victims, while further investigation is ongoing to determine the full circumstances of the crash.
