The streets of Mingnilla burst into life this afternoon, April 5, as the Sugat Kabanhawan Street Dance officially kicked off, drawing spectators into a dynamic display of faith and culture.

Held as part of the town’s Easter celebration, the event turned the streets into a lively performance space, echoing with rhythmic beats and captivating choreography. Dancers in colorful costumes moved in unison, embodying stories of hope, renewal, and faith.

A total of five clustered contingents competed in the street dancing showdown, each giving their all. Their performances reflected both artistic creativity and deep spiritual meaning, honoring the tradition of Sugat Kabanhawan — the symbolic meeting of the Risen Christ and the Virgin Mary.

Beyond the spectacle, the festival highlights the community’s strong sense of devotion and cultural identity, uniting people in a meaningful celebration of Easter.
