A lechon vendor reportedly suffered major losses after several workers allegedly walked out in the middle of preparing multiple orders intended for Mother’s Day celebrations on May 11, 2026.
According to Wilmar Gaitana, a neighbor of the vendor, the lechon business was left struggling after a misunderstanding reportedly erupted between the employer and the workers. Reports claimed the laborers decided to leave the job unfinished after allegedly being repeatedly scolded during the preparation process.
As a result, several batches of lechon were reportedly left improperly cooked, affecting orders that were supposed to be delivered to customers celebrating the special occasion. Photos shared online showed partially cooked lechon, drawing mixed reactions from netizens.
Many online users expressed sympathy for both sides, with some emphasizing the importance of patience and proper communication in workplaces, especially during stressful peak seasons such as Mother’s Day.
