Clear Skies Ahead as PAGASA Reports No Low-Pressure Areas Under Monitoring

Residents across the country may expect a more stable weather outlook following the departure of Severe Tropical Storm Jangmi, formerly known in the Philippines as “Domeng.”

According to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA), no low-pressure areas (LPAs) are currently under monitoring for tropical cyclone formation as of 8:00 a.m. on June 2, 2026.

PAGASA also reported that Severe Tropical Storm Jangmi had already exited the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) and the agency’s monitoring domain as of 2:00 a.m. on the same day, ending its direct influence on the country’s weather conditions.

In its latest update as of 2:00 p.m., PAGASA confirmed that no low-pressure areas are being monitored for tropical cyclone formation anywhere within or near the Philippine Area of Responsibility, indicating a continued absence of immediate tropical cyclone threats.

With no active LPAs and no tropical cyclones being tracked within the monitoring area, weather conditions are generally expected to improve in many parts of the Philippines. However, localized thunderstorms brought about by daytime heating and other weather systems may still occur in some areas, particularly during the afternoon and evening.

PAGASA continues to advise the public to remain vigilant and regularly monitor official weather bulletins and advisories, as weather conditions can change rapidly.

For now, the absence of any monitored LPAs offers a welcome break from tropical cyclone threats, providing a period of relatively stable weather across the country.
