Residents of a dormitory in Cebu City have expressed concern after CCTV footage allegedly captured a man wearing a black T-shirt entering the premises, observing male student boarders, and taking personal belongings.
According to residents, CCTV recordings reportedly showed the unidentified individual loitering around the dormitory before entering an unlocked room at approximately 8:00 a.m. He was later seen near a common bathroom while a student was taking a shower.
The suspect allegedly used a cellphone to record a Marine student while the latter was bathing. Additional footage reportedly indicated that the individual engaged in inappropriate conduct within the dormitory premises.
The individual was eventually confronted by several boarders. However, he reportedly claimed to know someone residing in the dormitory, allowing him to leave the area before any further action could be taken.
Following the confrontation, residents reviewed additional CCTV footage and reportedly discovered that several missing pairs of briefs and other personal belongings may have been taken by the same individual.
The incident has raised concerns among students and dormitory residents regarding privacy and security. They are calling for enhanced security measures and a comprehensive investigation to identify the individual involved and ensure appropriate accountability.
Authorities have not yet released further information, as the investigation remains ongoing.
