DSWD 7 clarifies list of potential 4Ps beneficiaries in Cebu and Bohol

The Department of Social Welfare and Development Field Office 7 (DSWD 7) has clarified that households included in the recently released list of potential Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) beneficiaries in Cebu and Bohol are not yet automatically enrolled in the program.

The agency said the lists, categorized under Set 14D and 14E, cover 57,015 potential beneficiary households identified through the Community Based Monitoring System (CBMS) conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA).

DSWD 7 said the release of the list is part of its transparency measures, with the names posted in barangay halls and other public spaces together with a “Pahibalo” containing details on registration schedules, venues, documentary requirements, and other guidelines.

“Inclusion in the list does not automatically guarantee enrollment in the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program,” said DSWD 7 Regional Director Shalaine Marie S. Lucero.

She explained that the listed households will still undergo validation to confirm eligibility, including verification of school aged children and assessment of submitted documents.

DSWD personnel will also review whether families meet the program’s criteria before final inclusion in the conditional cash transfer program.

Potential beneficiaries are advised to prepare required documents during registration, including birth certificates of children, valid identification cards of parents or guardians such as PhilSys ID, UMID, driver’s license, voter’s ID or other government issued IDs, marriage certificates if applicable, and school IDs or certificates of enrollment.

The agency also requires supporting documents such as Solo Parent IDs, Persons with Disabilities (PWD) IDs, or other proof of vulnerability when applicable, as well as affidavits of guardianship for cases where needed.

DSWD 7 said households that are found to have already reached a stable economic status or no longer belong to the program’s target sector may be excluded after validation.

The agency stressed that the assessment process is a key safeguard to ensure that government assistance is directed to qualified and vulnerable families who are most in need.

DSWD 7 also urged the public to carefully review posted information, comply with registration requirements, and coordinate with field personnel during validation activities.

It added that concerned individuals may report questionable entries or potential ineligible beneficiaries to the 4Ps City or Municipal Operations Office for proper verification.

The department reiterated that the 4Ps program is the government’s main poverty reduction and human capital investment initiative, providing conditional cash grants to qualified poor households to support children’s health, nutrition, and education.

In Pilar, Bohol, a 4Ps municipal link was seen posting the list of potential beneficiaries at a barangay hall to ensure public access and transparency in the registration process.
