President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. is set to visit Cebu on Monday, June 22, for a series of official engagements highlighting his administration’s priorities on infrastructure development, disaster resilience, and food security.

The President’s first stop will be the ongoing construction of the Metro Cebu Expressway Segment 3A in Barangay Cansang-an, Naga City.

The project is part of the government’s flagship transport infrastructure program aimed at easing traffic congestion in Metro Cebu and improving connectivity along the province’s southern corridor.

Marcos will then proceed to Barangay San Isidro in Talisay City to inspect the rehabilitation of the Mananga River, a major flood control and river management project designed to reduce flooding risks in nearby communities, particularly during periods of heavy rainfall.

His final engagement will be at the Walang Gutom Kitchen at Pier 4 in Cebu City. The initiative forms part of the administration’s anti-hunger campaign, providing daily meals to vulnerable and low-income residents in urban communities.

Expected to join the President are Public Works Secretary Vivencio B. Dizon, Social Welfare Secretary Rex Gatchalian, Trade Secretary Cristina Aldeguer-Roque, and other government officials, who are expected to provide updates on the status and progress of the projects and programs.

According to the Philippine Information Agency, the visit underscores the administration’s continued focus on expanding infrastructure, strengthening disaster preparedness efforts, and enhancing social welfare programs in Cebu, one of the country’s key economic centers.

Specific arrival times for the President’s engagements were not immediately announced.

Marcos last visited Cebu on May 8, 2026, during activities related to the 48th ASEAN Summit.
