CEBU CITY, Philippines — DOST-PAGASA is closely monitoring Super Typhoon BAVI, which remains outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) as of 8:00 a.m., Monday, July 6, 2026.
Despite being outside the country’s monitoring boundary, BAVI continues to be monitored due to its intensity and potential to affect the Philippines if it maintains its current track.
Based on PAGASA’s latest forecast, the super typhoon is expected to enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) in the coming days, where it will be assigned the local name Inday.
At present, no tropical cyclone wind signals have been raised in the Philippines in connection with BAVI. However, the public is encouraged to remain vigilant and regularly monitor official weather bulletins for the latest updates.
Authorities advise residents to rely only on official information from DOST-PAGASA and their local disaster risk reduction and management offices for weather advisories and preparedness measures.
