Survey: Marcos’ net satisfaction rating recovers to neutral in June

President tFerdinand Marcos Jr.’s net satisfaction rating recovered to neutral in June, marking a 14-point improvement from the record-low rating recorded three months earlier, according to a Social Weather Stations (SWS) survey.

The SWS said 42 percent of 1,200 respondents were satisfied with the general performance of the national administration, while 40 percent were dissatisfied and 17 percent were neither satisfied nor dissatisfied.

The survey, conducted from June 20 to 29, 2026, resulted in a net satisfaction rating of +1, classified as neutral. This was an improvement from -13, or poor, in March.

The March rating was the lowest recorded net satisfaction rating for the Marcos administration, according to SWS.

The administration received very good ratings in four of the 17 specific performance areas covered by the SWS Governance Report Card: providing basic education in public elementary and high schools, improving the quality of children’s education, helping the poor, and creating policies to generate job opportunities.

It received good ratings in developing science and technology, implementing housing programs for the poor, ensuring food security, defending Philippine sovereignty in the West Philippine Sea, and ensuring an efficient public transportation system.

Three areas received moderate ratings: ensuring that no family goes hungry, preparing for problems caused by climate change, and caring for Filipinos in Middle Eastern countries affected by war or armed conflict.

The administration received neutral ratings for generating solutions to rising oil prices, ensuring oil companies do not take advantage of oil prices, and fighting crimes such as killings, holdups, robberies and physical violence.

Two areas received poor ratings: fighting inflation and eradicating graft and corruption.

SWS clarified that the net satisfaction rating for the national administration’s general performance is based on a single question and is not an average of the ratings for the 17 specific performance areas.

By area, Balance Luzon posted the highest net satisfaction rating at +13, classified as moderate.

The Visayas followed with +5, or neutral, while Metro Manila registered -11, or poor, and Mindanao recorded -17, also classified as poor.

The survey has a sampling error margin of plus or minus 3 percentage points for national figures and plus or minus 6 percentage points for Metro Manila, Balance Luzon, the Visayas and Mindanao.
