Tropical Depression “Gaerani” has re-developed from former Low Pressure Area (LPA) 08f and is currently being monitored outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) as of 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 22, 2026.
According to DOST-PAGASA, LPA 08f, formerly identified as “Neneng,” has re-developed into a tropical depression and was assigned the international name “Gaerani.”
Meanwhile, another Tropical Depression, formerly designated as LPA 08h, is also being monitored outside the PAR.
The typhoon with the international name “Saudel” remains outside the PAR as well.
With three tropical cyclones being monitored outside the country’s monitoring area, residents are advised to remain alert and rely on official bulletins for the latest information on their movement and possible development.
DOST-PAGASA continues to monitor the systems and will issue updates as necessary.
The public is urged to regularly check official DOST-PAGASA advisories and follow guidance from local authorities, especially if conditions change.
