The SM Seaside Arena in Cebu will host its first sporting event since opening in July when celebrities from Sparkle and Th3rd Floor face off in “Bida sa Arena: The Rematch” on Sept. 26.
Team captains David Licauco and Gerald Anderson joined a press conference Sunday, Sept. 6, ahead of the exhibition basketball game, which will bring stars from the two entertainment groups to the new arena.
Licauco will lead Team Sparkle, composed of Dustin Yu, Rayver Cruz, Prince Carlos, Anthony Constantino, Andre Paras, Mateo Monzones, Ralph Miaco, Shan Vesagas and Derrick Monasterio.
Anderson will captain Team Th3rd Floor, with Argel Saycon, Johannes Rissler, Elyson De Dios, Richard Gutierrez, Tristan Ramirez, Jeremiah Lisbo, Marco Gallo, Gab Lagman, Jeo Ong and singer Arthur Nery.
Shuvee Etrata and Heaven Peralejo will serve as team muses.
The event will also feature performances from Flow G, G22, Marielle Montellano, Jessica Villarubin and Hannah Precillas.
The game is a rematch of the inaugural “Bida sa Arena” held in May, where the Th3rd Floor team won.
Tickets are priced from P300 to P4,950 and are available through SM Tickets.
The SM Seaside Cebu Arena is expected to expand Cebu’s capacity to host large concerts, sporting events and other live shows, potentially supporting tourism and related businesses across the Visayas.
Located within the South Coast City development along the South Road Properties, the arena is connected to SM Seaside City Cebu through a dedicated bridgeway linking event, retail and dining spaces.
The arena is expected to draw visitors for major events, which could increase demand for hotels, transportation, restaurants, retail and other tourism related businesses while strengthening Cebu’s position as a venue for large scale productions outside Metro Manila.
