Michelin has appointed BSB Junrose as one of its new importer-distributors for commercial transportation and fleet customers in the Philippines as the tire manufacturer expands its local distribution network.
Michelin has recorded more than 60% growth in Philippine sales volume since 2023 and increased its importer-distributor network from four to seven, according to the company.
The expansion marks a push to grow its commercial transportation business beyond its traditional strength in passenger-car tires.
BSB Junrose President Ian Bangayan said the partnership will allow the company to expand the products and services it provides to fleet operators, which rely on vehicle reliability and uptime to maintain daily operations.
“BSB Junrose is strengthening its role in commercial mobility by supporting fleet operators in selected critical areas that contribute to vehicle reliability, uptime and operational efficiency,” Bangayan said. “The addition of Michelin commercial tires expands that capability into another essential area of fleet operations.”
BSB Junrose currently supplies fleet customers with batteries, lubricants, grease, clutches, bearings and selected engine components. The addition of commercial tires expands its coverage to another key component of fleet operations.
The company said commercial fleets face varying route conditions, load requirements and maintenance demands, making tire selection an important consideration in managing vehicle performance and availability.
The initial Michelin commercial tire range to be distributed by BSB Junrose will cover selected vehicle applications in the Philippine market, with product guidance provided for fleet customers.
The partnership will also be presented at Transport & Logistics Philippines 2026, where fleet operators and other industry participants can learn more about BSB Junrose’s commercial mobility offerings and the Michelin tire solutions being introduced.
Michelin will provide its commercial tire technology, while BSB Junrose will support customers through its knowledge of the Philippine aftermarket and fleet operating requirements.
“Our role is to help customers keep their fleets moving,” Bangayan said. “For fleet operators, reliability and uptime are not abstract benefits. They are part of how the business delivers every day.”
