Santa Fe ferry fares updated, vehicle rates vary by shipping line

Travelers heading to Bantayan Island through Santa Fe now have updated ferry fares to consider, with passenger rates varying depending on the route, accommodation and shipping line.

The Santa Fe Tourism Office released a consolidated fare guide covering four shipping lines operating routes between Santa Fe and mainland Cebu, including Hagnaya, Medellin and Escalante.

For the Hagnaya-Santa Fe route, Island Shipping charges P380 for regular passengers. Students pay P304, while senior citizens and persons with disabilities pay P271.45. Children aged 1 to 11 are charged P190.

Super Shuttle, which also operates on the Hagnaya-Santa Fe route, lists a regular passenger fare of P392. Students pay P313, senior citizens and PWDs pay P279, while children aged 3 to 11 pay P196.

Vehicle rates also vary between the two operators.

Island Shipping charges P1,500 for automobiles and multicabs, P2,200 for four-wheel vehicles, pickups and SUVs, and P2,400 for four-wheel Canter or Elf vehicles.

Super Shuttle lists a rate of P2,264 for sedans, Wigo and other automobiles. SUVs, pickups, vans and Rangers are charged P3,297. Motorcycles up to 150cc cost P1,033, while motorcycles 200cc and above cost P1,247.

Aznar Shipping, which operates the Santa Fe-Medellin route, charges P315 for regular passengers using non-air-conditioned accommodation and P390 for air-conditioned accommodation.

Students pay P250 for non-air-conditioned and P305 for air-conditioned accommodation, while senior citizens pay P215 and P275, respectively. Children aged 3 to 9 are charged P155 for non-air-conditioned accommodation and P190 for air-conditioned accommodation.

Aznar’s rolling cargo rates start at P675 for motorcycles and P1,625 for automobiles or multicabs. SUVs, pickups, MPVs, vans, L300s and Bonggos are charged P2,280.

For the Escalante-Santa Fe route, Bethlehem Shipping lists a regular passenger fare of P800. Students and senior citizens pay P640, while children aged 2 to 12 are charged P400. Infants travel free.

The posted schedule for the Bethlehem service shows a 9 a.m. departure from Barcelona, with arrival in Santa Fe at 11:30 a.m. The return trip leaves Santa Fe at noon and arrives in Barcelona at 2:30 p.m.

The Santa Fe Tourism Office also reminded travelers using Hagnaya Port to check tide conditions before traveling, as high tide may affect port access and ferry operations.

Passengers were advised to confirm schedules, fares and other trip details directly with their respective shipping lines before departure.
