The Bureau of Customs (BOC) has accepted a P7.05-million offer for four seized Maserati luxury vehicles, with the negotiated sale still awaiting approval from the Department of Finance before it can be finalized.
In a statement on Saturday, the BOC said Fast Car Traders Corp. submitted four separate offers totaling P7,055,664 for the Maserati Levante units.
The offer covers two 2021 Maserati Levante Modena vehicles, priced at P1,594,388 and P1,601,000, and two 2021 Maserati Levante GT Hybrid units, with offers of P1,930,088 and P1,930,188.
The vehicles came from smuggled shipments seized during a major enforcement operation in 2025.
The transaction remains subject to the Department of Finance’s approval before the sale can proceed to completion.
Customs Commissioner Ariel Nepomuceno said the bureau must ensure that the disposal of government-held assets follows the required procedures and protects public interest.
“Our objective is to ensure that vehicles in the custody of the BOC are utilized by the government in a legal and transparent manner. It is essential that all required processes and approvals are followed to guarantee that every transaction is fair and that the interests of the public are protected,” Nepomuceno said.
The bureau said the negotiated sale aligns with its Integrity, Accountability, and Modernization Movement, which promotes transparency, accountability and proper management of government assets.
The initiative is also part of the BOC’s efforts to ensure the orderly and transparent disposition of vehicles under government custody.
