Travelers using Bohol-Panglao International Airport can now shop at Duty Free Philippines, which opened a new store at the airport’s international departures area on July 14.
The store, operated within the airport managed by Aboitiz InfraCapital Bohol Airport Corporation, gives eligible passengers another shopping option while traveling to or from Bohol.
It operates from 7 p.m. to 4 a.m., according to the airport operator.
Bohol-Panglao International Airport General Manager Aldwin C. Uy said the new store would expand passenger choices as the airport develops its commercial offerings.
“As BPIA continues to strengthen its role as a gateway to Bohol, we also want to make sure our passengers have more options while they are at the airport. Bringing in more retail offerings like Duty Free Philippines gives travelers greater choice and contributes to creating a more complete, world-class airport experience, whether they are arriving in Bohol or heading home,” Uy said.
The addition complements the airport’s existing retail and dining establishments as it continues to develop services for passengers visiting the province, a major tourism destination.
Duty Free Philippines is a government-licensed retailer offering duty- and tax-free merchandise to qualified travelers.
Eligible customers include arriving foreign and Filipino travelers, balikbayans and overseas Filipino workers, as well as departing passengers with confirmed international bookings. Purchases remain subject to applicable regulations and limits.
Bohol-Panglao International Airport is among the airports operated by Aboitiz InfraCapital, the infrastructure investment arm of the Aboitiz Group. The company also operates Mactan-Cebu International Airport and Laguindingan International Airport in Misamis Oriental.
