Public school teachers and non-teaching personnel in Mandaue City may receive their annual P10,000 financial assistance in December after the City Council urged the Local Finance Committee (LFC) to facilitate the release of the funds.
The council approved Resolution No. 591-2026, proposed by Councilor Joel M. Seno, seeking the release of the assistance provided under City Ordinance No. 14-2018-1387.
The ordinance grants P10,000 in annual cash assistance to Department of Education public school teaching and non-teaching personnel assigned in Mandaue City.
Seno, chairperson of the Committee on Budget and Finance, said the program recognizes the contributions of school personnel, particularly teachers who continue to guide learners despite disruptions to regular classes.
He said the city is targeting December to distribute the assistance.
Seno added that the aid would serve as the city’s expression of appreciation for teachers who have remained patient and committed to their learners, especially amid recent class suspensions.
“So atong pahinungdan ang atong mga maestro ug maestra sa atong syudad,” Seno said.
