Medical technologists, also known as medical laboratory scientists, play a key role in modern healthcare, performing tests that help doctors diagnose diseases, monitor treatments, and detect conditions from infections to cancer.

Licensure examinations cover clinical chemistry, hematology, microbiology, blood banking, immunology, and laboratory management.

Successful examinees can begin online registration on April 14, 2026 for the issuance of their Professional Identification Card and Certificate of Registration.

They must submit a completed Oath Form, notice of admission, passport-sized photos with name tags, documentary stamps, and a brown envelope.

Newly licensed medical technologists will also sign the roster of registered professionals, marking their official entry into the healthcare workforce.

Examinees who did not pass but earned at least 70 percent may still register as Medical Laboratory Technicians under PRC rules. (LLP)
